Easy on Halloween Sunday

The 3 Man Cat Musketeers got their spot
To situate
For the best thing to do on Sunday...

Daddy Peyton, Uncle MaxMaxx and Brother Earl Gray
Aim to rest before
Cheer on the Texas Rangers tonight in the World Series
And little human ghosts and goblins come to our door-
And play with empty Snickers wrappers
Tommy will toss on the floor after she savors....
Easy on a Sunday
Ain't any better than this!

Saturday is Just Alright...

I love me some chill in the air Dallas mornings-
'specially if the mornings are Saturday!
Tommy stays in bed longer-
We huddle so close we cut off Tommy's circulation-
That's the BEST kinda Saturday to have
And then after you give the day a hand
Just like my sweet Daddy Peyton does,
Even if it's Tommy's hand!
Just so alright-
And Enjoy!

Friday Face Off

Hello everybody!  It's kinda late on Friday
And I was gonna take the day off and love on Tommy some--
Cuz she says she's  hissed off and stressed due to work
And the Cowboys losing and the Texas Rangers losin...
So I figure we'd just cat curl when she got home.
Wrong.
She's on her way to do a night abandonment of us.
Yep. Fed us and gonna leave us--again!
Humans.
So, I ain't about to take this day off!
Gonna show you how
Uncle  Maxx and Mommy 'face' the camera
All thru an open October Friday at
Twilight.....

Tommy actually snapped this a few minutes ago.
Good Human.

Thursday Tabby Talk Times Two

Hey, did you guys miss me?  I missed YOU!
Weren't 'round for a couple days. No real bad stuff.
Well, if you don't count the Cowboys losing the game and Tony Romo
And the Rangers drop Game 1 of the World Series-
We had a PC monitor malfunction Tuesday and until Wednesday night.
It didn't work. Tommy thought she would need to get us another.
But Wednesday night, she unplugged it and "fiddled" with it as she says-
And as the Rangers  lost, the monitor decided to hang for another inning or two--
We'll see. Musta heard Tommy price other monitors..
Anymew, I'm back. And if I'm not, Tommy is gettin' us a new monitor!
In the meantime, see Me and my Shadow?
How 'bout that---and  'specially on a Thursday?
Two Tantalizing Tenacious Tabbies for the price of one....
Be honest. It don't get any better than that!

Man Cat Beam Me Up Monday

ME (and Uncle MaxMaxx)
On this Monday, I survey all  my savannah
And its subjects-
Granted for right now, it's just my Uncle
Doing one of the things he does best-
But I betcha by golly wow, all those LadyCats
Who are Texas Ranger fans will be mesmerized
By my high beams and soon be on their way here....
Right?

Easy Sunday

Mommy. Open Window. Bird Channel. Sunday.
There is a little birdy on a branch-
If Tommy coughed up $ on a better camera you'd see it
Just like Mommy does-all up close and personal.
One of the best ways to take it
Easy on a Sunday...

October 22, 2010

Friday Face Off...

As Tommy does that Dance she seems to do just on Friday...
Which rocks the foundation of our chateau-
I sit and ponder
Tonight's line up for the Texas Rangers and NY Yankees....

Just one more Rangers victory
WORLD SERIES here we come!
Stay tuned...

Being Easy on Sunday....

ME!
Tommy just needs to put the camera DOWN
Even HE rested on the 7th Day!
I just wanna close my pretty peepers 100%
So I can really take it easy-
As it should be
For especially on a Sunday...
C'mon, what more really need be said?

Caturday In The Park

OK. So the park is Tommy's bed...
Well, really OUR bed, we just give Tommy space so she can snore...
Anymew, it's Saturday and Tommy just snapped this photo
A few minutes ago. No flash.
Not so not sure you can see all my handsomeness
With Mommy and Uncle MaxMaxx up front...
On a gorgeous Dallas day--
Tommy says she's gotta get stuff done before
All the sports stuff today:
Texas Rangers (get this one!) Iowa Hawkeyes and ISU Cyclones..
So what that really means is,
Tommy's gotta decide what kind of Blue Bell Ice Cream to get...
Humans.

Tuxie Twilight Thursday

Yep, it's twilight as I type with one of my nails--
And I PLANNED it that way.  All cuz of my sweet Mommy!
Asked her what her favorite Perry memory was--and Mommy
Purred and laughed and said when she "beat his butt!"
See, when we were really itty bitty kitties and starting to move around
Mommy stayed near and so did Tommy.  We lived in a cluttered apartment
That had an upstairs---I don't really remember--but Mommy says we all got to get
Good goin' up and down stairs-Well, this one one night, I
Guess Mr. Cranky Puss wanted to check out the newest intruders to
HIS house with Tommy (that was us!) and came up the stairs.
Seems Mommy wasn't really feelin that and got all Big Mama
And started toward Perry. Tommy didn't want to think and
The next thing you know, Perry hi-tailed down the steps with Mommy on his
Heels! Mommy says she laid into him good, and Tommy says she heard
PERRY hollerin' from downstairs and stuff gettin' pushed into stuff...
Then it got quiet, Tommy says. Mommy came up the steps and kept her guard over us.
Tommy says Perry really didn't come too close after that.
Even before he passed away Mommy still kinda watched Perry
Eventho Me and Brother Earl Gray are man cats NOW.
And Mommy does say she and Perry did kinda made a truce, sniffed noses and kinda
Were by each other when we got on Tommy's bed--and when Perry was really sick
Mommy did hang around him. She says Perry liked that.
So all in all, Mommy says this is her favorite photo of her and Perry...
They shared a window, Tommy went outside to snap the photo, ..
And twas twilight....

Brother Earl Gray's Tabby Talk

WOW! My big brother Noir (by a few hours) let me talk on his blog again--
I told Noir I wanted to say something' about Perry.
See, I don't why Brother says Perry was cranky, cuz he really wasn't.
We never had any tussles really. I mean, yea OK, once I tried
Show how grown up I was--and Perry bopped me on the head a few times...
So from then on, if Perry just raised his eye lid a bit-
I knew just to be cool, like him.
We really got along, me and Perry. Not really close, close like him and Dad-
But we got along.
More so than Perry and Noir...or so Noir would have you think.
Yep, it's still kinda lonesome around here
But we're doing better. I was glad Tommy got this picture of
Perry and Me from April this year..
Noir can't understand WHY I would be OK in a picture with Perry..
Why?
Cuz the Perry was just one cool cat!
...and that's how I wanna roll!

Man Cat Monday....Back.

ME.

Been kinda hard to get up gumption to post after Perry's passing.
First, the outpour of sympathy to my family humbles me
I want to THANK YOU All again. It means the world to us.
We're trying to grab a hold of our household without him--
Especially Tommy.
She expects Perry hollerin' while she feeds us and gets kinda weepy when  she can't
Fill that Number 6 bowl. Perry always got his bowl first, cuz I guess he holler'd he loudest.
She wonders why he wasn't on the blankee on the washer or on his couch in the other
Bedroom when Perry really wanted to get away from us.
Then Tommy remembers.
*Sigh*
It's been hard.  Real hard. We love on Tommy. And we know she loves us--
Yet there's some thing still feels missed.
Cranky Ol' Sour Puss Perry--that's what I called him--and he was just that--
Never really beat us up-hissed and air jabbed Uncle MaxMaxx--
Mommy says Perry did like us. Like those times we'd all be
On Tommy's bed snoozing, or a Saturday morning when Tommy didn't need to get up.
*Sigh*
Perry now rests under the pretty flower tree, right outside a window.
Bird TV is right there and we all watched from that window.
We'll still watch the birds and squirrels --
And maybe there will be a familiar cranky ol but now
Angelic orange tabby watchin right with us--
I pray this to be so.

Perry Passes

Perry
July 4, 2001- October 5, 2010

Perry took a turn for the very worse during the night--
I wondered if he would make it to the vet this morn-
I dropped him off at 7am, like I said I would.
By 2:45 Perry was gone. They gave Perry fluids, antibiotics and nothing..
They were going to unhook him and bring him to me--
Perry passed just before they could. I think he didn't want me to
See him like that. Yet, Perry waited until I came to get him to finally rest.
The vet said jaundice showed up today. The infection just took over
Perry's body, eventho his heart was strong, yet not strong enough.
The vet even said Perry was a fighter.
Yes, he was.
When I saw him, Perry looked like he was sleeping..
I told the vet, Perry will rest by a flowering tree---
Where he can get a first hand view of feating birds .
THANK YOU everyone for being there--
Your words of support and prayers mean more than you know...
I thank God for letting Perry find me that October 2001 day
When He knew I was sad because I just buried my dad
I always considered Perry the last present my dad gave me--
And a present he will always be. He was My One.
I am blessed.

***It's Wednesday Morning as I write this. We made it thru the first night without Perry. It's funny, Noir has taken his roll of  Heir Apparent quite literal. He is a younger Perry in a lot of ways--of not leaving my side and glued to my hip during the night. He just looks more grown up. Edie (aka Mommy) just rubbed against me and even MaxMaxx tried to be a baby kitten with his wide load self. Earl Gray meowed and tried to get in my lap.  They all loved on me. Looking at Peyton, who's a ginger tabby is hardest--he reminds me of Perry and I almost called him that when he came into a room. He was the only one who really bonded with Perry--and when I looked into his soft eyes, I saw the sorrow.  We made it through.

Words cannot express how all of have made me feel. And to think I thought the internet was fad. With it, I would not have all of you.  Thank you again--so much!

ManCat Monday-More Prayers for Perry

Hello everyone--as I type with one claw, Tommy readies Perry for a trip to doctor. Right now he's curled up by Tommy's pillow and I know His Royal Cranky-ness doesn't feel good. In fact, to be honest, friends, Tommy and I both thought Perry wouldn't be here with us this morning.

We had a good weekend. Perry even fought Perry for pizza yesterday afternoon. Then last night, something happened. Tommy doesn't know what (I was sleep under the bed) Perry acted like he couldn't move, and had muscle spasms. Tommy thought stroke, seizures (I don't know what those are, but Tommy is scared)  Tommy held Perry through some of the  night, until he wanted down. I was with them both. I stayed on Tommy's legs so she couldn't move.

This morning, Perry was curled in the kitty bed. Tommy loved on him. He seemed alert and she brought him to her bed. Well, while she was talking to the doctor's office, Perry pulled himself to Tommy's pillow and curled there. He did look at Tommy when she opened the can of treats--but it was empty. Perry seems more like himself than he did last night---but Tommy says Perry's got to go to the doctor.

And I agree.

Please say more prayers.

Noir

***UPDATE***
Hello everyone---Tommy here. It's about 9PM as I write this and my Perry One is on the blankee beside me. He doesn't feel good at all. He's so tire and weak. This is such a change from last night. Oh, friends, I just knew I was going to lose my Perry through the night. About 8pm last night, he couldn't move, and his paws just jerked. I knew each breath would be his last.  At 11:15pm, I put on my sweats, scooped him up and carried him around our back yard. There was a chill in the air, but I didn't care. Perry wanted to get down. So he dragged himself around the yard--so much trouble walking.

When I put him on my shoulder, he felt like brick. I heard a felt purr. I just held him. Talked to him. Told him if he needs to leave, it'll be OK.  While I held him in bed, Noir--who really is a younger Perry stood gaurd. He sniifed Perry, and really didn't leave our side.

Longer story short, the vet took xrays--no tumors, and Perry's heart and lungs were good. Until he took more blood he thought Perry might be diabetic. He's not. Plus Perry's temp was normal.  I told the vet about the antibiotics--that I really think he reacted to it. Because two hours after I gave him some, Perry became imobile and quiet. I heard not a meow--which is unlike him. Perry has a bad bladder infection and overall infection that the vet says we need to get under control. He needs to eat and drink more. Perry got an IV, and some fluids.  I need to drop him off in the morning so he can see him and maybe take the catherter out of his arm....and my Perry One has a read bandage around.

Ahh...Edie is meowing and he just lifted his head. Last night I got about 3 hours of sleep. I wonder if Perry got any. I was so scared last night. He just lie there...So for tonight, I've made up his own little hospital room--which will be where I have the PC.

I have the food by him  and the poo box on the other side of the room--clean and fresh. And the bed he curled in last night, all laundered. Do I admit, I have a little night light in here, so I can peak in at him? I just want him to get some rest with out the others bothering him....and now Perry is meowing. He so wants to get up--he's fighting sleep.  I promised him, when we went out side tonight, I would hold him while I watchced my DVR of  Dancing With the Stars....he liked that..So that's what I'm going to do...

Thank you EVERYONE....I'll keep you posted...

Next to Brother in the window as we both gazed out. .
Brother would NOT share the window
