Perry
July 4, 2001- October 5, 2010
Perry took a turn for the very worse during the night--
I wondered if he would make it to the vet this morn-
I dropped him off at 7am, like I said I would.
By 2:45 Perry was gone. They gave Perry fluids, antibiotics and nothing..
They were going to unhook him and bring him to me--
Perry passed just before they could. I think he didn't want me to
See him like that. Yet, Perry waited until I came to get him to finally rest.
The vet said jaundice showed up today. The infection just took over
Perry's body, eventho his heart was strong, yet not strong enough.
The vet even said Perry was a fighter.
Yes, he was.
When I saw him, Perry looked like he was sleeping..
I told the vet, Perry will rest by a flowering tree---
Where he can get a first hand view of feating birds .
THANK YOU everyone for being there--
Your words of support and prayers mean more than you know...
I thank God for letting Perry find me that October 2001 day
When He knew I was sad because I just buried my dad
I always considered Perry the last present my dad gave me--
And a present he will always be. He was My One.
I am blessed.

***It's Wednesday Morning as I write this. We made it thru the first night without Perry. It's funny, Noir has taken his roll of Heir Apparent quite literal. He is a younger Perry in a lot of ways--of not leaving my side and glued to my hip during the night. He just looks more grown up. Edie (aka Mommy) just rubbed against me and even MaxMaxx tried to be a baby kitten with his wide load self. Earl Gray meowed and tried to get in my lap. They all loved on me. Looking at Peyton, who's a ginger tabby is hardest--he reminds me of Perry and I almost called him that when he came into a room. He was the only one who really bonded with Perry--and when I looked into his soft eyes, I saw the sorrow. We made it through.
Words cannot express how all of have made me feel. And to think I thought the internet was fad. With it, I would not have all of you. Thank you again--so much!
