Friday Feline Face

Hello everyone--Tommy here. Noir was sweet enough to spare me a few moments on his blog -yes, treats are involved!  Just wanted everyone to know I finally got MaxMaxx to the vet for his month check up. The big booty baby boy of mine and I tussled to get him that carrier--ALOT. MaxMaxx seem to just 'know'. The one morning, after we fought, over not one, but two carriers, with one of the carrier's handles busting and the tussled ended with a bite on my hand as he  darted underneath the bed, I realized all could wait for another day. OK, the cat seemed to know THAT too. Why?  Because HRH Big Booty came from out under the bed, leaned against my legs and purred. *sigh*  Then another morning, MaxMaxx was sitting right on my bed NEXT to the carrier. I guess I juggled the carrier just right--and under the bed MaxMaxx flew. This time MaxMaxx didn't come out. I had to get him for this check up. I mean, I think MaxMaxx is doing great--but you just want the doctor to say so too. I wound up going to Petsmart to get one their card board carriers that close on the top. I swear they make those smaller now. This morning, MaxMaxx was in his spot looking out the window. He felt lovey, and came to me. I gobbled MaxMaxx up and in the carrier he went. Quite the tight fit. He hollered all the way to the vet--which was about a 25 minute drive. Long story short, MaxMaxx got an A+ from the doctor. She wants to see him again in about 6-8 weeks. Of course, MaxMaxx didn't care, the rain started, the wind was cold, and the car died at a red light (which started right back up). I just wanted to go home. Almost an hour later, in complete darkness and rain we pulled up in the driveway. MaxMaxx was quiet the entire way. I thought he'd calm down, although I heard him digging in the carrier. I thought I smelled something, on top of my Peppermint Mocha, but I thought..."Naw".  Well, imagine my surprise when we got inside the house, and I open the carrier for MaxMaxx. Stinky dots dotted the red rug I'd put on the bottom of the carrier. Maxx looked up at me and stared. *sigh*

Anyway after I cleaned up stuff while MaxMaxx ran thru the house to his fountain and food dish-the slitherin' sneaky string snake appeared-which is MaxMaxx's favorite thing, outside of food, that is. Honestly, this makes me realize that pesky perineal urethrostomy (P.U). surgery my baby endured seemed to be farther and farther away in the rear view mirror. And I like it like that.
