Mommy, why doesn't Uncle MaxMaxx get in the window with Perry?
**Well, maybe your uncle just doesn't want to.
It's because Perry and Uncle MaxMaxx hate each other, right?
**No, baby. They don't really hate each other.

**No they don't Noir. You never seen them really fight. They just paw jab--and even those are air jabs!
Hmm. I guess you're right. 'cause Mommy, I've only seen YOU fight Perry! Fur flew and everything! HA! HA!
**Well, that was quite different!
How, Mommy? How was it different?
**Because, you all were bitty babies. Even tho I knew Tommy had us safe. I still made sure nothing would ever happen to my babies. Perry just wanted to look at you. Was curious and meant no harm, yet, I was still the Mommy.
And I remember how you chased Perry down the steps and he hollered and...
**Noir! I told you it all a bit different.
Oh, OK, Mommy. I kinda wish Perry and Uncle MaxMaxx liked each other.
**They do, baby. They do. Just in their own way.
Mommy?
**Yes, Noir?
Am I still your baby?
**Of course you are! I will always make sure nothing happens to you.
You will?
**Yes, Noir. Because I'm STILL the Mommy and that's how we roll!

I was wondering how you got your name. I know that Noir means black in French.
When we were fresh out of the oven, as Tommy says-she had a hard time telling ME and one of my siblings apart.We both had white triangle on your faces, and tabby stripes and white feeties. Tommy realized I was a little bit darker--so she called me Dark Tabby. In fact, some early pictures-that's how I'm labeled. Then a light bulb came on and Tommy remember her high school French..Noir is Dark in French voila! And the other kitty became Earl Gray--because--well, he's gray! :)
Noir, it's always good to hear these conversations with you and your Mommy. We've said it before and we'll probably say it again, but you're so lucky to have your mommy kitty with you to guide and teach you like this. And that picture of you with her when you wuz a baby is so cute! :)
