The humans, who Tommy works with, laughed alot until they realized Tommy really didn't know what these were. They told her, "Ya gotta be a Texan to know this stuff." Which of course Tommy declared, "I'm from Iowa. We have walnuts!" Anyway, the humans told Tommy pecans live in these things, until they turn black and fall to the ground. Like alot of them are on the ground now. Tommy says she plans to pick up some today (sure she will). Then the humans told Tommy when the black ones open the pecan will be ready. Ready for what? Pies. That's why Tommy's happy. She bakes pies. Some humans want her to make Holiday pies for them. And now this pecan can be added to Tommy's pie list.

Double wow. A great big tree to climb AND it drops stuff to play with. That's what we call: cat paradise.
Perry is the tree climber in this crowd--if he ever got close--we'd never see him again. Hmm...
Your very own pecan tree? How cool!
That is one very grand tree!

Mom grew up with a walnut tree in her yard, but they were wormy.
The walnut trees were down the street from Tommy. She would just kick and try to squish them. Guess she didn't have much to do....
