Hello everyone-Perry here!
The Kid (that’s Noir to you) gave me the go ahead to post today. Not sure if the head bop persuaded him any..! Wanted to talk about Sammy, a snowshoe Siamese I had the pleasure to know for five too short years.
Tommy and me think about Sammy lot, this time of year. Because Sammy went to Heaven in late August 2006. He lost his four year battle with kidney failure. Oh, how he hated Tommy to give him his fluids--but he took it like man cat--in silence. The day Sammy went to Heaven, he literally went to sleep in Tommy’s arms. His head on her heart. Tommy likes the fact he went to sleep hearing her heart beat. Tommy thinks Sammy wanted to make sure she was gonna be OK from her open heart surgery that March-before he went to Heaven.
So I wanted to show Sammy and me-from somewhere in those last couple of months. No way, do I seem cranky, like The Kid (that’s Noir to you) says so much. Nope. I’m good to those that are good to me.
Sammy was just that. A wonderful crossed eye snow shoe’d man cat, who put up with the kitten me and growing up me. I KNOW I drove Sammy so nuts! Yea, I got on his nerves, but Sammy never really turned me away.
A good guy never does.

What a sweet looking kitty Sammy was. We can see why you and Tommy miss him so much.
We're sending out purrs to you and Tommy while you remember your special friend
You look so sweet together. It is good to have such nice memories of the ones that left us behind.
Perry, that was a lovely story with your memories of Sammy. And the photos of you two together are so sweet.
We knew you couldn't really be all that curmudgeonly (The Mommy helped us with that word).
Wow, open heart surgery? It's been 3.5 years but we hope Tommy's fully recovered from that!!
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
We is so sad that such a good brofur had to go to Heavens but you have such lovely memories.
What a bittersweet story. You are blessed to have good memories and good photos and I'm glad you're sharing them with us. -Co9T
Sammy was such a beautiful ManCat was had to leave to early. Our mom had water leaking from her eyes reading this today! We're sure that Sammy greeted Scooter when she got to The Bridge! Just always remember, the last thing he heard was your mom's swet voice and her heart, where he will forever live. He left this world knowing he was truly loved. Thanx for sharing Sammy with us today!
That was a lovely tale about Sammy! What a handsome cat!
Thank you for sharing Sammy's story with us. He was a wonderful mancat ans we can tell you too really cared for each other. Maybe you ans Noir will learn how to get along that way.

WOW--all you guys are SO nice to say nice stuff about my post on Sammy. Noir read some and didn't mutter anything--oh well. Not sure Noir and I will even really hit it off. Oh well.
Oh, and don't get leaky eyes. I didn't want that to happen! If Sammy saw the leaks he would put out his paw and tap you. He did it all the time to Tommy.
And that open-heart surgery thing Tommy had? Yea, Sammy and me were left alone for 3 WEEKS! Tommy's best friend came and took care of us--but it wasn't the same. Whenever I heard the door open, I thought it was Tommy and when it wasn't I ran...until the day Tommy DID come home. That's another post sometime. But she's all OK-when her vet gave her the OK to play raquet ball again--Tommy knew all was gonna be fine! :)
Thanks again everyone!

You must miss Sammy very much! Jen cried when she read about how Sammy went to the Bridge. Even though his life was short he was very lucky to have such a great family. Purrs to you and Tommy.
What a sweet way to remember Sammy! That picture of you two together is adorable!
Oh no. I guess I just thought about me. Five years is all I had with Sammy-from 2001 to when he went to Heaven in 2006. Sammy was actually 14.
And sorry I made anybody have leaky eyes. :(
