Perry Update by Tommy

Good Saturday everyone!   My kittyboss (that's Noir to you) allowed me to take some of his precious blog space so I could give an update on Perry.  As Noir wrote, I was concerned about Perry looking thinner.  He wasn't always the robust big cat, yet no cat (or small dog) could come close to MaxMaxx--yet, I was concerned, even tho Perry wasn't lethargic and still ate.  I called the Vet Thursday and said to bring him on in.

The vet poked here and there, mentioned thyroid and kidneys and we just needed to find out. This was already 6pm, and the vet suggested I could bring Perry back or leave him. It killed me, but since Perry was already there, I loved on him and said an out loud prayer and left him. I'd left a towel, so he could have 'me' with him.

Long story short, yesterday another vet, a nice young lady said it was great news all Perry's tests came back negative, except the UTI. She wanted to try anti-biotics and check up on him. Also, the vet gave him some fluids (Oh boy--I know Perry so LOVED that)--and some his body was still filled when I picked him up. Plus some anti vomit medicine, because he just finally had it. I laughed and said, the stress got to him.  And she said Perry got a bath, because he just defecated in the cage and on himself. My cat did not want to be there--and this was stuff he never did at home. The vet said Perry didn't appear to be in pain and kept asking if Perry goes outside.  I explained he and two other like to go right outside the door and eat the grass. They don't go any farther  No roam the neighbor, just our patio. And then I bring them in.

Last night, Perry and I read all your good wishes. I'm humbled by the outpouring. Perry just purred. We hung out on the couch and he curled close. He even slept with me last night and Noir wasn't really feeling any of that. Noir was on my right, Perry curled up on my left, resting against the pillow.

He purred. I prayed. All was right with the world. Good night had by all.

So this morning, Perry's brushed past Peyton, who is his one true fan, jumped over Edie (Mommy) as he hopped from the bed, snarled at MaxMaxx, stared at Earl Gray--who promptly ran from the room. And Noir?  He's under the bed (don't tell him I told you that!).

I will watch my Perry One-make sure he continues to eat,  takes his medicine and pets my head while I try to sleep--with his claws.

Yes, all is right with the world.
Perry and me, last night. I believe healing is in the the touch.

Thanks again for all your well wishes.  We have the bestest good friends-kitties, puppies and along with their humans-literally all over this world.
We are so blessed.

And to quote Noir: I like it like that!

Perry - we are happy to hear you left your mark at the v-e-t place - that'll teach them to mess with you -haha!! It's a shame about the bath but you probably feel better for it after your "accident" in the cage. Bravo for quality snuggle time in bed.

Hurrah for Perry! We are SO happy he's home and nothing too drastically wrong that a bit of medicine, time and love won't fix. You guys got a good 'un in Tommy!

Perry, did you know that hummingbirds can poop defensively? Yup, they can Aim & Fire at will! Gives ya somthing to work towards.

Perry, that was an ordeal for you, but we're glad you're home and that your blood work is fine. That's great news! Hopefully the antibiotics will clear up the UTI and that will be it!

Continued purrs and healing Light!

Awwwwww gorgeous Perry!! Me and Charlie are so relieved that he is home with you lovely Tommy! What an experience for poor Perry to be away from you all!!

We are purring that his meds will make him all better so he could go and be all cranky to Handsome Noir and Brother Earl Gray, ignore Sweet Mommy, annoy Uncle MaxMaxx and be with his other bestest buddy, Daddy Peyton!!

Big smooches and cuddles to gorgeous Perry! Take care

Yay! Glad Perry is feeling better! We won't tell Noir that you told us he was hiding. UTIs usually clear up pretty fast, we hope Perry takes his medicine like a good boy.

Poor Perry - it sounds like he really did NOT have fun at the vet's! But it sounds like everything's okay with him and mostly back to normal, so that is good!

Perry we are very happy that you are home and your tests came back ok. Maybe you just got a bit stressed and that caused the UTI? Sometimes that happens. So you take it easy, lots of rest, lots of lovely fuuds and snuggle up with Tommy!
