Please Purr for Perry

As I type this with one nail, Perry is in the hospital. Tommy says Perry just was gettin' too thin. Heck, I didn't think anything was wrong with him--he hissed at me, strutted toward Uncle MaxMaxx which made Uncle flop to the floor and then they air jabbed and then Perry hollered after Tommy to pet him, with tail straight up in the air.
But Tommy says Perry was just too thin. She had a before kitty who had kidney problems and she gave him fluids thru a needle and another had cancer--and they sorta acted sickly at times, but not really Perry. He still jumped in the window and hung with Tommy while she did school work last night. Tommy said he all there, yet she was worried.

So the doctor said to bring him in. Tommy was surprised Perry weighed 8 pounds--she thought he was thinner than that. The doctor said he wants to run tests, and mentioned kidneys and thyroid and Perry's heart sounds good. The doctor asked Tommy if she wanted to leave him there or bring him in the morning. Tommy says she almost lost it then, but loved on Perry, while he meowed--and said he could spend one away from the rest of us--maybe feel better tomorrow.  Tommy had put a towel in the carrier and asked the human who took Perry to his suite to put the towel in the suite--so Perry could have her scent.

Tommy says Perry looked a little scared, but before the human took him to the suite, and before he came to get Perry, Tommy said a out loud prayer as she Perry in her arms.  Tommy's says healing comes from touch. And she heard Perry's loud purr and I know she smiled. The doctor will call her Friday morning after all the tests. The fact Perry didn't quit eating, still used his box, and not lethargic makes her feel good.

I know I call Perry a cranky ol 'sour puss and well he can be----but I gotta say, I miss Perry not being in the house right now. It's not as cluttered and cat filled as it should be. And we can't fight over Tommy when she's snoozing in bed...So please purr for Perry.
Thank you!
Noir, Brother Earl Gray, Mommy, Uncle MaxMaxx, Peyton and Tommy

*********UPDATE*********
Perry is HOME. He's not so cranky right now--just kinda tired.  Tommy's got some medicine to give him and Perry goes back for a urine check up in two weeks. The doctor says Perry's urine was kinda concentrated--I don't know what means--but the medicine is gonna help. Here's a picture of Perry who was by Tommy as they read all the good wishes from all of you on my blog--and Perry got a kick he was on the Cat Blogosphere!!
On Saturday, I'm may share MY blog so Tommy or maybe even Perry will post--depending on how he feels. Once again Thanks for the purrs and prayers. To God be All the glory.

Yep, Perry and Tommy have been together since 2001, right when Tommy's daddy went to Heaven. She thinks Perry was her daddy's last gift to her--he was in their back yard and the rest is history...of course, Perry did give Tommy ringworm! :)

Thanks for the prayers!

We're sending lots of purrs and universal Light to Perry! Definitely have his T4 checked, it could be thyroid. (Annie is hyper-t, was diagnosed last year at age 9, young for hyper-t).

Paws crossed, please give us an update when there's news!

We missed all this til just now! We are purring for Perry!

Hmmm, concentrated pee? Sounds like Perry might be dehydrated. Tommy may want to give him some sub q fluids just to give him a little bump in the right direction.

ps-are you sure Perry isn't just depressed because the Cowboys are 0-2?

It's after midnite now and Perry was curled up to Tommy on the couch--while Mommy was on the arm of the couch. MOmmy amd Perry just stared at each. Tried to sniff noses, but Mommy backed away. Uncle MaxMaxx as on the other side of Tommy. PErry just stared at Uncle. Uncle just snorted. Anyway, the doc did give Perry some fluids to replenish. With her before kitty with the kidney problems, the kitties drank SmartWater--it had electrolytes in it--so to help them be hy--hy--hy--whatever you said...Thanks for caring!
