Friday Tabby Tuxie Feline

ME--and yea, OK...
Tommy tried to do something so Ansel Adams Kodak Moment (even tho Kodak is kinda not in the camera business much these days) and well:

The bottom line is
With this fancy book learnin' Tommy is back doing,
I know Uncle MaxMaxx NEEDS to get home-
'cause I ain't feelin' none of this..

Mini ManCat Moment..

ME!  Tommy says her workday was
Rough and tumble.
Even muttered about going off to live in
Italy with a guy named Clooney.
So I thought I'd make Tommy smile with
a flashback to itty bitty boykitty--and
Then Tommy smiles more how
Kind folks have to been to our family,
And Tommy's day wasn't so rough and tumble
after all.
Thank YOU
again for participation
in the auction!

Sunday Easy So

Happy Sunday everybody!!  Wow--today is the last day for the auction for my Uncle MaxMaxx. Thank you again for all your kindness. :)
Yesterday, Tommy went out to visit Uncle MaxMaxx.  The prison guards staff, are giddy about Uncle's recovery. I think they really are tired of him, but gotta make sure all Uncle's fixed parts are working like they should. Tommy says Uncle's growlin' is still quite intact tho. After Tommy and Uncle were left alone, Tommy says Uncle was her baby MaxMaxx all over again.

Then Uncle MaxMaxx did something for us kitties. Yep. He rubbed all over Tommy's pink saddle bag, she calls a purse. So Uncle got all his whiffs over it, so when we sniffed Tommy's saddle bag--we would know Uncle was near. :)
And when all was said and done, Uncle MaxMaxx proved to Tommy
He could still get his stretch on--even he's gotta have that
silly blue collar thingy around his neck. Tommy said she
laughed at Uncle, and even got a little leaky eyed,
cuz she heard Uncle purr like she use to hear him purr: LOUD.
So on this Sunday, as this adventure makes its
way to the finish line--I know my Uncle MaxMaxx
would want me to make sure I still do my part on Sundays:

Tommy Talks at Twilight

Hello everyone, Tommy here. Noir was nice enough to let me take some space--of course, when the cat naps....First of all: The auction for MaxMaxx's medical adventure--I am humbled by the participation of bidders, and appreciative by the work of Marg, Ann and all of CB.  This is the final few days and wonderful goodies are still available.
**Then on my big baby boy MaxMaxx--he continues to recover from his surgery. Tomorrow will be the last day of some of his meds--so we'll have a good gauge then. The Vet's office, put Max in one of the exam rooms so he can get exercise and familiar to how his body feels after his surgery. Is Max turning into a The Good Patient?  He's better  since he doesn't seem to nip them as much. I hated the fact Max stayed at the Vet's--but I tell ya, I know Max  got the watchful eye, meds and everything he needed, especially with me at work all day and just the experience. I was thrilled the Emergency Clinic Max and I went to at 1:30 on that fateful morn called to check up on us.
The photo up above, is still one of my favorites of   Edie (Mommy Girl) and MaxMaxx, that I turned it into a  greeting card. The two tuxies  got all comfy in that chair so I couldn't get in front of the PC. Guess they gave a hint, huh?
I told Prince Noir I wouldn't be long on HIS blog--so I will close with: what an adventure that nears its end.  For all  words of care and concern, I give my thanks to God and you.

Wordless Wednesday

Her Royal Bad-ness: Mooch--
But is she really being
wordless?

Tuxie Tuesday Update

My Uncle MaxMaxx is still in the hospital, but downgraded to

"Boarder".  This way it is cheaper on the green papers,
And Uncle gets his meds, fluids, water therapy on his ouchy, and constant care to make sure Uncle is
100% when he comes home to us. Doctor is honest that
Uncle could have left us back in April. The good news is
The prison guards staff, let Uncle hang out in one of the exam rooms to move and get use to his 'new self' that reminds Tommy when she was in the hospital recovering from that pesky open-heart surgery she had to have. And her own prison staff made her get up and  do stuff.
All good all the way around. :)
So, the Auction for my Uncle MaxMaxx to help out with his medical expenses continues thru Sunday! Click on the neat badge, courtesy of Ann of Zoolatry, to take you to the auction and gander at all the great goodies! I'm makin' sure Tommy adds a couple more things too!
And there's also a "Donate" button on the Auction page if you would like to help out that way too!
Uncle MaxMaxx, Me, Tommy and our whole family
Appreciate you more than you know....

Monday Mooch Moment

See?  SEE! How ferocious Mooch
Our resident tenacious torbie is???
So what Mooch gives Tommy kisses
But those back claws out...SEE??
I told ya how filled with she-devilish stuff
This torbie is--kisses or no..
(Tommy does smile tho. What's up with that??)

Sunday Spotlight... .

Brother Earl Gray
Gets caught half way in, half out of a sun puddle :)
As Tommy heard from one of the
Prison Guards Marg about Uncle MaxMaxx-
Seems Marg moved Uncle to
A bigger apartment that has two rooms
So Marg says Uncle can go between
Two spaces and run off some of
his 'anxiety.'
Really?

Mad MaxMaxx In His Own Thunderdome...

We all felt Uncle's doing better vibes, so we tried to
Do the usual Saturday stuff like ME
Remembering the 'good ol days before
Ms. Evil aka Mooch moved in:
Tommy did go out to visit Uncle tho:
Face does kinda say it all, huh?  Jennifer, one of the
Main prison guards staff said Uncle MaxMaxx is doing
Very well. They couldn't be more pleased with his progress.
What the big chit chat was really about was making sure
Uncle got his meds for his recovery.
Jennifer came clean and said they once needed
4 folks to get the meds down, now they are
Down to two---sometimes--usually it's 3.
How would Tommy handle it, since she'd had trouble before?
Tommy decided after thinking about what was best for Uncle
Was to have him stay a few more days (at a lower cost)
So he could be watched real good, continued to get his
Ouch-y water therapy'd, meds and no worries about the care.

Pee Ess: If you haven't checked out the auction for Uncle, you can click on the handsome badge made by the talented Ann of Zoolatry--and be zipped right to it! :)  I donated some things on there (OK, Tommy kinda helped...)

On Friday Tabby

***Update***  Uncle MaxMaxx had the catheter removed today. So far he's doing good--the prison guards staff will watch Uncle like a hawk to make sure he stays good. Tommy is going out there tomorrow to talk about Uncle's care. Part of the stuff they do is wash off  his incision place. Doctor wants to keep doing that--to be on the safe side. Outside off all that, Tommy is breathing a sigh of relief. She will know more tomorrow. Thank you again--everybody!

ME  wondering about Uncle MaxMaxx
And preventing Tommy from making the bed--
I can't wait til Uncle can bop me on the head again.
The auction for Uncle MaxMaxx is in full swing.
Be on the look out for items from ME (and Tommy)
I can't thank everybody enough at CB for this.
Tommy has been frantic this last week--
And now...now, she's finally more calm. We can't
Even imagine if our Uncle had been lost. Prayers work!
And lastly, Tommy went to visit Uncle MaxMaxx yesterday:
They're talking maybe Monday for him to come home.
Doctor says Uncle is doing 'fantastic'--except he still beats
up on the staff. But then we have my real Uncle:
Doing a tummy-bonk to Tommy...

Thursday Thought on Tuxie

Ya know, Tommy told me how Uncle MaxMaxx is kinda
On the rambunctious side while at the Hospital-
The prison guards staff call him  'feisty'.  Hmm.
Uncle growls and still makes sure 3 humans gotta
Hold Uncle down to get his medicine in him...
They say how 'fast' he is 'specially for kitty so big.  Gee.
Other than that, Uncle seems to be doing
What he oughta be doing--and that's a good thing.
Tommy is gonna go visit Uncle today so she can
See for herself how our King of the House is doing...
Below is one of my fave photos of Uncle MaxMaxx
Kinda says it all :)
Thanks for they purrs and prayers--they work!

Wordless on Wednesday

***Update Wednesday Evening**  Tommy here.  Seems my 'big boned' MaxMaxx is gaining a reputation. I was told he worked OUT of the collar during the night, which is to keep him from his suchers, cathether and whatever else Max is hooked up to. The good thing was, he didn't work out of anything else. I guess the collar wasn't man-catly enough for him :)  The tech was trying to be nice that Max was 'feisty' and it still took 3 of them at times to get his meds down. The tech was point blank with "You aren't going to be able to medicate him at home--he's too strong."  Gee, I told them that before--and this time I told her we'll cross that bridge when we come to it...All in all, MaxMaxx is doing great. I'm sure Noir will remember something I told him that I've forgotten and will you in! :)

Me and Mommy
are wordless as we wonder when
Uncle MaxMaxx will be home from the Hospital and
I wonder if Tommy is gonna get the stuff
(I told her to do) done for the auction for Uncle, and
We all wonder how we can
Thank all of YOU for your purrs, prayers, and love...

Operation Tuxie Tuesday

That's what today is for Uncle MaxMaxx
My 'big boned' Uncle (did I tell you Uncle was 15.7 lbs?)
Gets his surgery this afternoon. And the Doctor says
The tom cats she's surgery'd on have done good
And expects Uncle MaxMaxx to do the same.
*Sigh*
We just want our King of the Castle home...

ManCat Monday at Twilight

Daddy Peyton

Kinda says it for all of us!
The Doctor said  Uncle MaxMaxx is eating and
Being quite feisty--and his 'procedure' is
Set for Tuesday afternoon. *sigh*
We cuddle to Tommy, and even
Ms. Evil Mooch has been giving
Daddy Peyton ear washes--
For right now, I gotta get back to Tommy and
Make sure she's getting auction stuff ready--
Which the stuff is all MY idea...
Thank you so much for the prayers and your kindness.

Still Tuxie Sunday

Mommy
Says we all still oughta thinks bout being Easy
On this day, even if our house is a little
Topsy turvy right now.
Things will be as they should be soon,
My sweet Mommy says and  Tommy agrees
Hmm. Maybe girls know best...
And Tommy talked to one of the
Prison guards staff and said Uncle was
Eating, poo-ing and being real good and
Uncle's 'procedure' may be tomorrow...
Stay tuned.

Stop By Tuxie Saturday

That's what Tommy did when it came to Uncle MaxMaxx today.
Yep. Tommy headed to the hospital today so she and Uncle could spend time together. Tommy says their go-round was so much better than last time. When the prison guard staff brought Uncle into the room, he didn't fight or nothing. There was a difference in Uncle, Tommy says--she saw it in his eyes. In fact, when the guard staff left em alone, it took a couple minutes, but Uncle started to purr and head bonked Tommy. I can see Tommy now--I bet her eyes got all leaky and blue mascara ran down her face...I digress. The cool thing, Tommy says is Uncle rolled  around on the table and stretched, IV and catheter and all --just like he was at home. And Tommy started blabbing to Uncle like they were at home. I'm sure the guards got a kick out of that!  And even the Warden Doctor came in--who Tommy didn't think they would speak til Monday.  Tommy and Doctor had a good talk about Uncle MaxMaxx. It is looking like surgery is in  Uncle's future.  Tommy told Doctor how Uncle showed up six months after her open-heart surgery to replace her mitral valve and Uncle help her recuperate--now it was Tommy's turn to help Uncle MaxMaxx and Tommy is so OK with that.

Thank you SO much for your prayers (they WORK!) and your support!!

Friday Sad Turnaround

Uncle MaxMaxx Back in the Hospital
Hello Everyone--Tommy here.  It's been a knock you back on your paws couple of days here. I brought my baby big boy MaxMaxx home Tuesday night.  He was so glad to be home--ate, drank, tinkled, loved on me, bopped everybody else.  On Wednesday morning, he was SO ,much like himself--he jumped on my bed that morning, to give me the head bonks and cuddles I'd missed. Purred, did his figure 8's thru my legs as I got ready for the day.  By the time I went to work--everybody was in their spots for their day long naps. Although I knew that was normal, I always had a different 'vibe' this go round with MaxMaxx.

The doctor's office called to check on MaxMaxx too. He had done wonderfully up till then.  However, I think we all kinda knew 'something'.  Long story short, when I got home from work, Max didn't come to great me. That was very odd.  I went looking and found him stretched out sleep under my bed. I called his name, and his tail swished.  My doc's office was closed by then, otherwise he was going then--just to be sure. I decided I was taking him Thursday morning. If all stayed calm we'd be OK.

Wrong.  I heard MaxMaxx cry. I woke all the way up.  12:45 AM.  I never heard my baby cry like that. NEVER.  He was in by litter boxes. He'd try to go. The cries. There was an emergency clinic his doctor referred   Got the directions.  Through on some clothes--my hair was in curlers--and I took them down. Somehow I got MaxMaxx in carrier and off we went.  A trip that should have been 15 minutes turned into longer---why?  I got lost.  I went how the directions told me--no clinic.  Max was screaming and it's 1:30 AM on dark deserted streets.

I called the clinic number. Sweet Lauren gave me directions. I found out later they had MOVED. At the clinic, I am a basket case. Max is crying, panting--in such pain.I prayed and prayed. Telling Satan to get out of my cat--he can't have him."  I held MaxMaxx close while they did work up etc. Within in a few minutes, MaxMaxx was sedated and unblocked.  The vet on duty--a very nice woman, suggested the surgery, my regular vet spoke off.  I left Max resting at the clinic. I got home at 3 AM.

I picked up MaxMaxx Thursday afternoon and he's back at his regular doctor's office.  The doctor will talk to me about the surgery.  Neither Max nor I can go thru this and both be scared all the time.  I am not ready to lose my baby.

Depending on the cost of  Max's care, I may need to do something  I've never had to do is ask for donations. I will cross that bridge when I come to it--because I know God does provide.

In the meantime, please pray for my MaxMaxx and our family.

Love.
Tommy, Noir, Mommy, Earl Gray, Peyton and Mooch

***Update***  MaxMaxx has been eating well at the hospital. I will visit him tomorrow and speak to the Doctor on Monday about the possible surgery.  All his other vitals are great. Max does not have a fever--just this pesky block thing going on.  Thank everyone SO much for prayers, purrs and encouragement. :)

Wordless on Wednesday (Not Really)

Kinda says it all, huh?  Tommy this snapped last night when she first bought Uncle MaxMaxx inside the house--after she bailed him out of the  slammer hospital.
See the little orange band-aid on Uncle's left paw? Turns out Uncle flung the first one OFF---Anyway, so far so good. Thank you for all your prayers and purrs...They work!

Mooch Monday Moment

Uncle MaxMaxx update:  Sunday night, the hospital called to say Uncle was doing good, especially with his food --imagine THAT!--and tinkling. So on Monday sometime, they will take out the catheter to see how Uncle does on his own. Thank you for all your prayers--they work!! In the meantime...

Ms. Thinks She's All That Mooch says eventho
Uncle and her have their differences, basically
Mooch annoys Uncle enough sometimes bops
Mooch on the head--Mooch says things are pretty
Quiet without Uncle's water slurps and house shakes
When he does his run thru zooms, so:
Mooch says she's gonna stay in this box
Til Uncle comes on home. Suppose
To show some kind of solidarity. Really?
Uncle is held prisoner, so Mooch acts in kind.
Hmm. I think Mooch just likes the box

Sunday Double Sooth

Mommy and Tommy

Give each other little time as they wait for Uncle MaxMaxx to come home.  Dunno if you can see Mommy giving Tommy little kisses. Kinda helped em both.
First of all, THANK YOU for all your well wishes.  Unfortunately, Uncle MaxMaxx is still in the slammer  hospital. We're hoping we'll have more of a time line tomorrow--as Tommy mutters something about going to the poor house.
Anymew, yesterday, Tommy went to go see Uncle.  They had some good time together.  Yep. Tommy said how she got her arm around Uncle, held him close, while he was on the table and Uncle just burrowed his head in the crook of her elbow. Tommy was pretty bent over the table cradling Uncle and whispering in his ear giving him pets and telling him how everybody--especially her and Mommy missed him. Just nice moments for both of them. Tommy didn't want to leave, and Uncle wanted to go with her.  The prison guards staff said Uncle is doing really well.   One of the guards staff said she would call us to give us an update later on Sunday.

I gotta tell you tho, all these sweet tenderness between Tommy and Uncle happened after Uncle got out of the blue bib around his neck, tried to jump off the table (Tommy has scratches to prove it) and Uncle pulled apart his IV line.....yea, Uncle feels better.

Thanks you all again!

August 3, 2013

Hissed Off Tuxie Saturday

Why?
'cause Uncle MaxMaxx is back in the hospital.
Yep.  Uncle got took to prison   on Thursday.  Tommy thought Uncle wasn't acting too sickly--translation: Uncle was still eating and drinking--but, there was a tug at Tommy, something wasn't all the way right. Then Thursday she caught Uncle in a squat that wasn't the poo box a doing this straining thing.

Long story short some tinkle tink urinary issues. Not as bad as Uncle had them in April. Uptil this happened Uncle zipped up the cat tree and bopped me on the head.  He didn't hideaway like he did in April, but....Uncle is doing much better. The prison guards  staff him a sweet boy! He's hooked up to an IV, a catheter and resting comfortably as he can. Tommy went to see him yesterday, and is headed there this morning too. These are photos from  Friday.
Uncle was brought into a room and put on a table. Tommy says even with all that stuff hooked up and on Uncle, she got her arms around him and cuddled him close. Before the prison guard one of the staff left them alone, she said, "You can tell he's happy too see you."  For those moments all was right with the world.
And the reason I know my Uncle MaxMaxx ain't feeling THAT bad?  Because the prison guards told Tommy it took THREE (3) of em to hold down Uncle to give him his medicine.

Yea. Uncle is gonna be just fine!
