Thankful on Thursday

ME cuz Tommy came home a bit
Earlier today from her Mon-Fri
Abandonment routine--Nice little 
Surprise, but I couldn't show 
Tommy I was THAT happy so...

Hence, my 'ain't gonna look you in the eye' pose...

We kitties can't give away all our emotions! 

Thankful Thursday

ME!

Tommy stayed home with us today-
She said it was sorta of an anniversary for her.
There was no parade, no special sales or catnip anywhere
So I wasn't so sure what Tommy was talking about-
Then Tommy tells me today is special to her cuz
7 years ago today, open-heart surgery was 
Done on Tommy when v-e-t-s for humans 
Really went inside Tommy's heart to replace 
Her mitral (which I had to Google) valve
While Tommy cat nap'd the whole time!  
And since all that happened 7 years ago, 
I get to do an "eye to an eye" pose with Tommy now...
Thankful, indeed.

Thankful is the Tabby

ME!  Yep.  See, Tommy stayed home today and
Heard tell she'll stay home tomorrow too!
Something about "mental days"...
Oh well, whatever the case may be,
Tommy is home, during the day so she can be useful
To open up the windows so the cooler, almost Autumn air
Tickles  my whiskers! So to thank her, I'll flash Tommy my:

"Hey, open the window alittle bit wider, will ya?" pose....
