Sunday Still Remembrance

In our house we still remember the out pour of prayers, purrs and love we received from the Cat Blogosphere, when Perry (the Cranky Ol Sour Puss) went to Heaven last October. Although we laugh and play, there's still something  missin' round here.  Like Uncle MaxMaxx's favorite paw jab partner, or Mommy's favorite hissing target when Perry would even walk toward her babies, even tho  we were full grown. With ME and Brother Earl Gray, Perry would call us "kids" and out cat nip us with any of the 'nip toys. I miss him jumpin' so high and then dashing off--like he was younger than us or something'!

And there was Tommy.  Perry struck his claim with her. Nobody--and I mean NOBODY could have his place on the pillow by Tommy. Nope. That was his spot, and Tommy's face and her forehead were only his to pet--with his claws out at times. Then there is my Daddy Peyton. He misses Perry more than he says.  Yes, he does. Daddy loved Perry and Perry only really got on good with Daddy.
Sometimes I think Perry got tired of Daddy, but Daddy was the only one that could curl up to Perry. Maybe it was the orange and ginger tabby thing. In fact, the night before Perry went to Heaven, Perry was curled in a cat bed, and Daddy was curled right beside him. Tommy got a picture of it and then Tommy cried.

So on this Remembrance Weekend, we smile at all our friends who  get to play with out King of Our Jungle, Perry at the Rainbow Bridge. He's not really cranky--and I bet they know that by now.  We miss our Perry One.

As for Tommy's pillow, I now take the other side. Perry will always have his spot.  I have the other side. So when Tommy wakes up in the middle of the night--she's knows we're both there. I don't pet her face, like Perry did. Nope. I kiss Tommy's fingers before I bite them.

So if you 'cuse me. There's still some Sunday left.  I wanna let Tommy know
All is good and
We can still be easy as this day inches to a close
And all is in love
Perry would want it to be so....

Weekend of Remembrance is really everyday...

Tabby Thursday Truce II

WOW! I couldn't believe it! Neither could Tommy.
Cranky Ol Sour Puss Perry being NICE to my Daddy Peyton!
>gulp!<
Tommy ran to get her camera. Tommy says she'd never seen C.O.S.P. Perry EVER do that to ANY of us! Perry licked Daddy Peyton's head and cleaned one of his ears real good. I jumped on the bed then. Perry just glared at me.

I jumped down.

Daddy Peyton had motor boat purrs! Tommy said Daddy Peyton's purr were so loud she was scared the neighbors would come knockin'!

WOW! Maybe there IS hope for us.
Maybe Cranky Ol Sour Puss Perry, really isn't as cranky as I think.

Maybe.

Almost a Spring Saturday...almost!

Cranky Ol Sour Puss Perry likes to remind us how GOOD he had it--like way before we even showed up. Perry says Tommy lived in a place where he just sat and watched the world go by. With all her plants. No worries about us or anything. Just him and Sammy and Tommy. He said it was more quiet it then too. And how he loved Saturdays, especially Spring Saturdays, cause Tommy was home and they could just be together. Hmm. I tell him its that same way now. Just better because of all of us are here for him and Tommy. Cranky Ol Sour Puss Perry just shakes his head and takes over a window. In the bottom picture, you gotta look real hard to see Perry in the corner--then there's Sammy. I bet Sammy was nice. Had to be, to put up with the Cranky Ol Sour Puss.

I really do like Perry. Wish he liked me.
