Saturday morn. See, Tommy has that infamous Fancy book learnin' class called Statistics at 8am. So as Tommy thought about even getting outta bed, Uncle does his thing of hoppin' on the bed, doing a few headbonks to Tommy, gets some curls and hops off. Then as Tommy
is puts on that face paint of hers, in her own litter box room, Uncle leans against Tommy's legs so she can feel his purr. Then up in the
Litter box room, Uncle goes to look out into the darkness--never quite sure what he sees--OK, Uncle hops
from the window, scatches on our cardboard scratcher thing, sashays to the kitchen and hollers at Tommy for his breakfast, oh, and bops ME on the head, in the process. I've noticed Tommy gives Uncle his bowl first, and then us. She says something about 'special food'. Tommy watches Uncle to make sure he eats (OK that is NOT a problem) and he drinks from the fountain--Then as Tommy stands in the living room, makin' sure she's got all the stuff for her Statistics class, a blur of black and white zooms past her to the bedroom and the house does seem to shake a bit. What was THAT? Tommy goes to the bedroom and sees Uncle MaxMaxx giving hisself a morning washdown. Tommy rubs Uncle some. Uncle is in the midst of giving kisses to Tommy's fingers when Tommy tried to snap this photo. Is this being a paw-perazzi what gets taught in this class Tommy takes? And Tommy leaves the house with a smile on her face, while Uncle decides to snooze---until Tommy gets home--cuz it's been a busy Saturday morning. And we wouldn't have it any other way!

Sunday Best
Uncle MaxMaxx IS home! Yep. We had a calm Saturday night 'cept Mommy musta been hissed off on how Uncle smelled because Mommy flashed him some fang.
Mostly, Uncle stayed close to Tommy tho. Headbonks, purrs, meows and Tommy smiled the whole time. Even last night, I'm usually the one that always sleeps with Tommy--but oh NO--Uncle stretched his wide load self across the foot of the bed...for once I didn't mind a bit (at least for ONE night!)
Today, Uncle seems even more like himself.
At breakfast Uncle parked by his food dish and gobbled up lots. When it came for that morning nap, Uncle remembered the day still is Sunday:

So up into the favorite chair to get his easy on,
and I was makin' sure Uncle was doin' fine
and then
Tommy gave Uncle MaxMaxx her touch
and said a prayer of thankfulness.
Sunday Best, indeed.

Not So Wordless on Wednesday
Hello everyone, Tommy here.
I want to thank everyone for their purrs and prayers for my Big Boy baby MaxMaxx. Still in the hospital, yet MaxMaxx is doing better. There is no fever, plus he's eaten some and doing tinkles (as the tech says) in the litter box. They will continue to watch him, as well as the liquids, meds and that lovely catheter! :)
I asked the if MaxMaxx has talked to them yet. Naw, not yet--says he's still a bit scared and on meds. Not sure when MaxMaxx is going to come home. I pray if he continues to improve maybe Saturday. I missed his head bonks against my arm in the middle of the night. So my cat needs to come on home.
In the meantime, these 3 Musketeers are always together.

Noir and Brother Earl Gray seem
To want to give their Mommy some comfort
As we all for MaxMaxx to come home.

Thursday Thanks-Perry Talks
Hello everyone-Perry here!
The Kid (that’s Noir to you) gave me the go ahead to post today. Not sure if the head bop persuaded him any..! Wanted to talk about Sammy, a snowshoe Siamese I had the pleasure to know for five too short years.
Tommy and me think about Sammy lot, this time of year. Because Sammy went to Heaven in late August 2006. He lost his four year battle with kidney failure. Oh, how he hated Tommy to give him his fluids--but he took it like man cat--in silence. The day Sammy went to Heaven, he literally went to sleep in Tommy’s arms. His head on her heart. Tommy likes the fact he went to sleep hearing her heart beat. Tommy thinks Sammy wanted to make sure she was gonna be OK from her open heart surgery that March-before he went to Heaven.
So I wanted to show Sammy and me-from somewhere in those last couple of months. No way, do I seem cranky, like The Kid (that’s Noir to you) says so much. Nope. I’m good to those that are good to me.
Sammy was just that. A wonderful crossed eye snow shoe’d man cat, who put up with the kitten me and growing up me. I KNOW I drove Sammy so nuts! Yea, I got on his nerves, but Sammy never really turned me away.
A good guy never does.

Open Wide
Uncle MaxMaxx struck a pose
And Tommy tried to get Uncle MaxMaxx
In all his mancat glory-
Propped up against a wall
With furry 'big boned' tummy ready for a rub
Then Uncle MaxMaxx yawns
That's what's we're use to-
With mouth open and ready for treats
Uncle MaxMaxx moved just alittle too fast
>shock!<
And Tommy didn't get the photo as clear
But ya know, Tommy still captured
The essence of what is my Uncle MaxMaxx
He's one in a million
.I love him

Tabby Tuxie Thursday

Hmm. Me thinks Cranky Ol Sour Puss Perry does like us....a little. Eventho Mommy still runs after Perry if he steps too close to us. Mommy forgets Me and Brother Earl Gray are mancats now and not itty bitty cats anymore.
Perry sits real close to Mommy in this picture. Mommy let him sit there for a hot second. Never took her eyes off Perry.
Tommy says that's the closest Mommy and Perry have ever been. Of course, a second after Tommy took this picture, Mommy bopped Perry on the head.
Bye Bye Perry.
OK. Tommy says it is still a work in progress. I don't get that. I think Mommy just showed Perry who is REALLY the boss.
